Calphalon Professional Nonstick 11"x18" Double Griddle

The Best of Them All
I checked out all the double-burner griddles and this one is my favorite (and I own it!) The reason is that there is no grease trough around the outside edge. I don't cook anything greasy enough to collect in a trough or ridge. The problem with the trough is that it makes it impossible to cook "runny" food such as eggs or pancakes. This Calphalon doesn't have the ridge, and it works great! The non-stick coating is also holding up exceptionally well. I cook with gas using a smaller burner and a larger burner, and the aluminum construction conducts the heat well enough so that pancakes brown evenly. The price is also usually highly discounted (from being overpriced anyway) to less than its competitors. I only wish this was part of the Calphalon commercial line so that the handles match my other stuff, but that is a nit. (The Calphalon commercial version has a trough.)

The pleasure is mine!
This is a delightful piece of cookware. The ability to span two burners allows for making enough pancakes to feed a family or to cook and keep warm at the same time! The heat is spread very evenly without any hot spots. There is absolutely no need for oil or butter (I use butter/olive oil for flavor!) as the nonstick works wonderfully. The two corners at one end are "crimped" which allow for the easy pouring off of bacon grease without it running to the underside of the griddle (a really nice touch). Overall, this griddle is as good as I have ever used (in my 40+ years of cooking). This griddle is a real pleasure to use .

Very Even Heat
I have a ceramic cooktop with a bridge element. The cast iron double griddle/grills made sold at Williams Sonoma / Crate & Barrel are not supposed to be used on this surface. Additionally, a 20" griddle is 1/4" too long for the glass top cooktop.
The 11x18 Calphalon fixes both problems. It is a great size and does not harm the ceramic top.

I knew that with the bridge element, that the griddle would provide even heat across the length, but I was surpised at how well the griddle provided heat in the areas that were beyond the elements. I can cook up a half pound of bacon all at one time perfectly, and the corners are crimped to allow for easy grease pouring.

I highly recommend this pan.

Calphalon Commercial Nonstick 6-1/2-Quart Saucepot with Lid

Another Great Pot From Calphalon At A Great Amazon Price
Every professional chef-cook and-or serious home cook knows the importance of using the proper pot for specific purposes. So, this writing is for the novice.

So then ... As any serious Chef or Cook is fully aware of, expensive pots or pans will not make a great cook, no matter what any seller is trying to claim. Yet, this statement must be expanded to: 'Good cooking tools will aid and inspire serious cooks to improve his/her 'cooking skills', in addition, to making most cooking tasks much easier and noticeably more successful.

Having said that, my user review is on the ...
'Calphalon Commercial Nonstick 6-1/2 qt. (6.15 liter) Saucepot with Stainless Steel lid'

This 6-1/2 qt. pot is the perfect cooking vessel for just about anything you want to cook, which requires a deep pot. This holds particularly true for cooking 'Cheese Soups' or any one-pot meals which require cheeses in its recipes. This is a must have pot, for a small family. I own it, use it and am very happy with...

Miraculous Saucepot!
I used this saucepan 3 times the first day it arrived! NOTHING stuck to it and cleaning it was a snap! If you need a medium size saucepot, this commercial nonstick is the way to go. You can't go wrong with this one!

Great pot, but one problem
I've had this for a month, it's great. i love stewing, and the size is perfect for me. however, the handles and lid do get hot, so remember to put on gloves or wrap the handles with a rag before moving the pot around.

Calphalon One Infused Anodized Stainless-Steel Stack Steamer with Lid

Excellent product, very useful
An avid home cook that is a collector of both cookbooks and cooking gadgets writes this review. I use this steamer insert most days. I purchased the insert after continuing to read that steamed vegetables retained more of their vitamins and minerals. I did not want to go the bamboo steamer route, as I was afraid the wood could harbor bacteria. This product is now a must have in my kitchen. I have summarized my observations of this product below:

Pros:
1. Allows me to retrain more vitamins and minerals in the vegetables I feed my family
2. Easy to clean
3. Fits well in four or five of my Calphalon pots
4. Easy to store since it does fit inside other pots
5. Handles stay cool
6. Glass on lid is extremely thick
7. Glass lid fits snuggly which keeps steam from escaping
8. Large enough to steam a pound of haricot vert at one time
9. Excellent for making dim sum (steamed dumplings)
10. Reheats chicken breasts without drying...

Great value on a hard to find item and it shipped FAST!
The item was represented accurately and was in perfect condition. It was packaged well and received VERY quickly. It is just the right fit for the pot I had in mind and looks perfect!
