Not our "cup-of-tea"
This mix makes salty type of hush puppy. When I travel to southern states and Texas, I recall my love for hush puppies are from family-run restaurants with catfish ponds! They usually serve hush puppies free as appetizer. And virtually always the taste is sweet...probably from corn. The taste closely resembles that of the breading of the corn dogs. Now a days most restaurants do either serve the sweet or salty types of hush puppies. My family loves the sweet 'puppies and it has been challenging to go through restaurant by restaurant as waiters don't always tell us the truth.
The suggestions on the can including making cornbread or breading for corndogs, so I assume it's the sweet type. It is spicy...zesty as described. If I'm to make the breading for corn dog as it suggests, I don't think kids will like the salty and zesty-spiced corndogs!
I am disappointed, but I know many obviously like the salty/spicy type or else many restaurants would not have offered this...
Good product
Will buy from this company again. Enjoyed the product, easy to make and not messy.
Not too good
I went by the instructions and they were a little soft and the taste was bland. Would not purchase this mix again...
