i have been using a similar thing for almost two years, with the same housemate. so i got one for myself now that we are not going to live together. if you know what this thing is for, you probably already have one. i got it b/c it's so cheap if not the cheapest one.

Amico Kitchen Cookware 3" Height Stainless Steel Steamer Steaming Rack

I don't think it is stainless
I have a 10 cup rice cooker, I usually would put some dishes for steam while i am cooking rice, how ever, I tried very hard to find a rack, which need to be enough tall, so it would not be submersed by the cooked rice.

This one fit my rice cooker, but I don't believe it is stainless steel, after about 2 month's use, it get rusted every time, and need to be cleaned quite a lot.
